Evelyn's Habitat

Meet Evelyn. This is the main character behind all my creations, this was all created in my final year at art school to help sick children through their hospital experiences. Looking at green spaces and nature to ensure they are calm and stress levels are reduced to make their recovery time shorter and their hospital experience less frightening. Looking at phrases that health care professionals tell children, for example, children experiencing an exacerbation of their asthma would be told "one elephant, two elephants, three elephants..." for taking their inhalers. Thus Evelyn and her friends were created. Evelyn and her friends are also a way to help children's development and make sure they are reaching all their important milestones and keeping their brains active during their absence from school as they recover in the hospital. Using different activities Evelyn takes them on a journey to help each of her friends one by one and also teaching children that hospitals are no place to fear.
